A Dog's Life

Chicago, July 3, 2013 --

The month of June was a pretty busy month for me! We had games in San Antonio, Tulsa, Atlanta and Indiana. My team spent a lot of time on busses and in airplanes traveling from game to game. So I have to say its been pretty nice have three home games in a row this past week! I always enjoy returning home and playing in front of our Chicago crowd at All State Arena. In addition to playing in our home arena I am always happy to come home for another reason and that reason is my new puppy!

While a good deal of my time here in Chicago is spent in the gym, the weight room, or traveling to away games I also have plenty of time to spend with my buddy, Wrigley. Wrigley is my 10-month-old Blue Great Dane puppy. I have always been a dog lover and my family had a Great Dane when I was growing up. People have always told me that a Dane is the perfect dog for me because I am 65 and I couldnt agree more!

When I was trying to decide what to name my new puppy it didnt take me long to make a decision. After throwing out the first pitch at Chicago Cubs games on one of my first nights in Chicago I quickly became a Cubs fan and thought that Wrigley (after the Cubs stadium) would be a perfect name for my puppy. He even has a Chicago Cubs collar and matching leash. I guess its safe to say that Wrigley is a much of a Chicago lover as I am!
