Fans Can Claim Tickets Beginning at 3:30 p.m. to attend the Mercury’s Single-Elimination Playoff Game against Dallas Tomorrow at Wells Fargo Arena
PHOENIX – Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, has generously purchased a block of 300 tickets for the Phoenix Mercury’s single-elimination Round 1 playoff game against the Dallas Wings tomorrow (Aug. 21) at Arizona State University’s Wells Fargo Arena at 5:30 p.m. Those tickets will be available to be claimed on a first-come, first-served basis on the north side of the arena beginning at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow. Fans may claim up to four tickets per person, while supplies last.
Ayton has been an outspoken supporter of the Mercury on social media, and praised WNBA all-time leading scorer Diana Taurasi as “the Michael Jordan of the WNBA” following a Suns Summer League practice on July 4. The versatile big man was named to the 2018 All-NBA Summer League Second Team after leading the Suns with 14.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.00 blocks per game while shooting 59.5 percent from the field as he was one of just seven players in Las Vegas to average a double-double.
The three-time WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury have clinched its franchise-record sixth consecutive playoff appearance, the tenth in the last 12 seasons and 13th in franchise history, and will aim for a league-record tying fourth WNBA Championship this postseason. Tickets for the team’s Round 1 playoff matchup with the Dallas Wings at Wells Fargo Arena tomorrow (Aug. 21) are available online at PhoenixMercury.com or by phone at 602-252-WNBA.
