Breanna Stewart's Top 10 Must-See Moments

Capping off an incredible WNBA debut, Breanna Stewart is growing into the face of the WNBA’s present and future. During 2016, she’s been nothing short of spectacular, growing both her resume and trophy case while going bucket for bucket against the world’s best hoopers. At only 22 years old, Stewie’s path to stardom is already paved with many memories. In honor of her Rookie of the Year selection, let’s relive the best moments of her Stewie’s year.
1) Fourth-straight NCAA Title – Stewie capped off arguably the most decorated college career in women’s history, adding a record fourth Final Four Most Outstanding Player award with her three National Player of the Year selections.

2) Being drafted first overall – Considering her extensive trophy case, Stewart going number one in the 2016 WNBA Draft was a no-brainer. That said, she joined 2016 WNBA MVP Nnneka Ogwumike and 2015 WNBA Rookie of the Year (and Storm teammate) Jewell Loyd in the exclusive club of number one picks.

3) Debuting vs. Candace Parker – Most rookies need time to adjust to the season-long grind. For Stewart, the early hooper gets the buckets. Her WNBA debut came matched her up against both Ogwumike and two-time MVP Candace Parker. If she had nerves, they subsided rather quickly, as Stewie finished with 23 points (9-13 FG), six rebounds and three dimes.
4) 38-point game – On June 28th, Stewie put it all together against the Dream, leading the Storm to victory behind her career-high 38 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals in Seattle’s victory.

5) Alley-oop with Jewell Loyd – Have you ever seen a double alley-oop? Seattle’s Rookies of the Year teamed up for what could be the first of many vertical highlights, bringing fans to their feet and putting defenses on alert.
6) Two-handed block – The Block Heard ‘Round The World charged up the Seattle crowd. While most blocks earn style points, Stewie’s defense forced Washington’s turnover, an eye-opening preview of feats to come.

9) Duel vs. Elena Delle Donne – What happens when you drop 22 points, eight rebounds and six assists against the reigning MVP? You’ve officially proven you belong in the big leagues. Although Stewart’s output proved impressive, Elena Delle Donne’s 35 points and game-winner capped off an exciting matchup for the WNBA’s future.
