What to Watch For: Atlanta Dream vs. New York Liberty on NBA TV

The Atlanta Dream (2-1) and New York Liberty (2-1) square off at Madison Square Garden in a Tuesday matinee (11 AM ET) at Madison Square Garden.
Here are three keys to the game:
1. Can McCoughtry Get On Track?
Angel McCoughtry is averaging 17.0 points but shooting only 40 percent through three games. After shooting a career-best 36.3 percent from three-point range last season, she’s 0-for-6 from deep this season. The Dream are coming off an impressive win vs. Chicago, placing them 2-1 heading into their matchup vs. New York.
If McCoughtry finds her shooting touch at MSG, it only adds to Atlanta’s seventh-ranked offense (81.7 points per game), especially against the Liberty’s second-ranked scoring defense.
2. Charles in Charge
Tina Charles remains as dominant as ever, leading the league in rebounding (12.7 per game) and ranking fifth in scoring (21.7). Atlanta has looked like an improved defensive team thus far in 2016, ranking fourth in the league with a 94.1 Defensive Rating.
The Dream have allowed opponents to shoot only 40.1 percent through three games, second to only New York’s 35.1 percent mark. Blocking 5.3 shots per game, Atlanta is tasked with giving the four-time All-Star everything she can handle.
3. Ball Movement
With both teams ranking top six in scoring defense, controlling the ball is pivotal. The Liberty enters the matchup averaging a combined 12.3 blocks and steals per game, with the Dream besting them with 13.6 of their own. With Atlanta ranking last in assists (13.7), moving the ball becomes more paramount, especially when trying to control the tempo on the road.
