The Moment

WNBA legend Tamika Catchings played her final regular season game for the Indiana Fever, with a sendoff befitting her stature in the game. 17,704 fans watched Catchings lead her Fever to victory over the Dallas Wings, as their hero dropped 16 points and 7 rebounds.

The Significance

Catchings goes down as one of the WNBA’s all-time greats, leading the league in career rebounds, and coming in second in points. She holds the WNBA record for All-Star appearances with 10, and won four gold medals, the 2011 MVP award and the 2012 WNBA title.

Her final season proved to be a fitting farewell as she was celebrated all over the WNBA map while donating to a charity at each of her stops.
