In their first meeting in the pros, Elena Delle Donne and Breanna Stewart put their remarkable talents on display in one of the most entertaining games of the year. This time, the vet got the best of the rook: Delle Donne poured in 35 points, including the game-winning three-pointer over Stewart’s outstretched arm with a second left.

Few players in women’s basketball history have possessed the the combination of size and skill that Delle Donne and Stewart possess. To watch them on the court at the same time was something to behold.

EDD’s: 35 points, 14-of-24 shooting, 3-of-3 from three, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks.

Delle Donne came up clutch and emerged victorious, but the main takeaway from the night was the promise of so many epic matchups to come.
