WASHINGTON (AP) Ivory Latta scored 20 points and the Washington Mystics beat the Western Conference-leading Minnesota Lynx 77-69 on Sunday.
Latta hit 7 of 14 shots in 23 minutes, including three 3-pointers. Kara Lawson added 15 points. The Mystics (14-9) hit 8 of 20 from the arc and 15 of 17 free throws.
Sylvia Fowles scored 15 points for Minnesota (18-7), which had its three-game winning streak snapped. Lindsay Whalen added 13 points, and Maya Moore, averaging 21.5 points, had 12 on 4-of-15 shooting.
The Mystics, hitting 58 percent of their shots in the first half, went on a 15-2 run over the final 4 minutes of the second period for a 49-40 lead. The Mystics trailed by six with 2 minutes left in the game but didn't score again.
The Lynx swept the Mystics in two games last season. The teams meet again at Minnesota on Wednesday night.
