Helped Huskies to record 4 straight NCAA titles, joining teammates Breanna Stewart and Morgan Tuck as only male or female players to do so.  Won Lieberman Award in 2015 as nation’s top point guard (as did prior Huskies S.Bird, D.Tuarasi, R.Montgomery).  A 2016 finalist for Wooden, Naismith, Staley, Lieberman nat’l awards.  All-America First team in 2016 (AP, espnW) and 2015 (WBCA, USBWA); Second Team in 2015 (AP).   American Athletic Conf. honors include All-Conf. First Team (2014, ‘15, ‘16); Def. Player of Year (2016); Most Improved Player (2015). Became second Husky with 600+ assts and 300+ steals, along with former nat’l POY Jennifer Rizzotti. Second on UConn’s all-time lists for steals, assts.  2015-16: Finalist for Wooden and Naismith honors as nation’s top player.  2014-15: Had 100-or-more steals for 2nd straight season; paced team in assists; shot 49.6% on 3s. Avg’d 14.9 ppg on 65.1% shooting in UConn’s 10 postseason games.  2013-14: Took over starting PG role; led league in FG% (57.5, up from 42.4); also upped 3PFG% (41.8 from 26.6); posted 25 assists vs. 7 TOs in UConn’s six game NCAA Tourney run.  MISC: Coached by father, Lorenza, mom, Robin.  Lorenza taped Moriah’s games and the two later studied them; Robin was an asst. on her prep team (Texas Home Educators’ Sports Assoc.). Has been nicknamed “Gnat” and “Spitfire.”
