Back on the road after sweeping a four-game homestand, the Storm fell 68-62 Tuesday in Los Angeles. Never out of it in the fourth quarter, the Storm was unable to come up with the key shot that would have made it a one-possession game. After a Sue Bird three cut L.A.'s lead to 65-60, the Storm missed its next three shots. By the time Seattle scored again, it was too late to mount a comeback. The Storm led in the early going before being outscored 15-9 in the second quarter, committing six turnovers in the period. The Sparks led the rest of the way.

Bird knocked down four three-pointers and scored 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting. Jackson made just three shots in 13 attempts, but scored half of her 14 points at the free throw line. The Storm outscored Los Angeles by 10 points with Jackson on the floor. Le'coe Willingham came off the bench for 10 points and Swin Cash and Tanisha Wright grabbed eight rebounds apiece. Sparks star Candace Parker proved almost impossible to stop. She had 27 points, shooting 8-of-16 from the field.
