GM & HEAD COACH TRUDI LACEY SAYS...
On the Connecticut Sun:
I thought that Connecticut looked like Eastern Conference Champions. Offensively, I thought (they looked) very smooth. They seemed to be very much in sync early, which is a good sign for them.
On how the Sting looked:
I thought, for us, we looked like a team that had a lot of new players and hadnt played together for a long enough period of time. We have a lot of work to do. I think once the season starts, well be ready.
On what her team needs to work on:
Basically, we (need to be) playing better defense, transition defense. We gave up a lot of easy baskets in transition. Stuff that we said we didnt want to happen. Offensively, we just need to get in sync and learn to play together.

On returning to Connecticut:
(Returning to Connecticut to play professionally) is a really fun experience. Seeing a lot of the same fans that UConn has. It was just a lot of fun to come back here to Connecticut and play in a great town like Bridgeport.
On playing first game in WNBA:
The beginning was rough because you have to get used to what you can and cannot do. As the game progressed I felt more comfortable playing.
JANEL MCCARVILLE
On playing against former teammate Lindsay Whalen:
It was fun. This was one of the first times that we got to play against each other and Im really looking forward to playing against her the few times we do in the season.
On playing in her first professional game:
I was a bit nervous. The first couple minutes I got (my nerves out).
SHERI SAM
On what she thought about todays game:
It was a good test. We got a lot of players out there still trying to make the roster. It was a good test for our team to see where we are. It was a good measurement.
On playing against the Sun for the first time since the Finals:
When we shook hands with players like Taj (McWilliams-Franklin) and Kesh (Nykesha Sales) at the beginning of the game, it brought back a little Finals memory. Im focused on the season now and the team Im playing with now.
