(On tonights game) Our tempo was pretty decent, offensively we pushed the ball and ran our sets and played great on defense. We held Washington to 20 points into the first half. In the second half, we should have been tougher mentally and physically and had less turnovers. Hopefully, the team can look at this game as a positive and learn from our mistakes.

(On Dawn Staleys fourth All-Star Game selection) Dawn is a great player and three-time Olympian; it is great honor for her and the organization to be selected to the 2005 All-Star Game.

(On Tangela Smith's game) Tangela showed much potential and stepped up her game. She is becoming comfortable with the team and hopefully she will continue to have big games.

TANGELA SMITH (21 Pts, 3 Rebs, 3 Stls)
(On the change of momentum in the second half) It starts with us bearing down and continuing to play defense, I think that when we are on the road the last 10 minutes we need to dig real deep because we arent at home. They (Mystics) are a really good team, they did some really good things, they attacked us very well, and they played very well.

(On Saturday's game at Houston) They have a great team obviously, their top player is Sheryl Swoopes with Michelle Snow in the middle. We havent really talked about them yet as far as what we are going to do, but I know that our coaches will defiantly prepare us for the game on Saturday.

DAWN STALEY (2 Pts, 6 Asts, 5 Rebs)
(On being voted to the Eastern Conference All-Star team as a starter) Of course I am appreciative that the fans have voted me in, but at the same time I wish that I was going into the All- Star Game in playoff contention. I think it is some what of a bright spot in our season, but I would much rather be top of the Eastern Conference than go to the All-Star Game.

(On the Mystics second half-performance) They were good, they got after it, and they wanted to win. They put themselves in a position to win and they made plays. They outscraped us, they got to all of the loose balls and they put the ball into the hole. It was a pretty good performance.

(On Saturday's game at Houston) We have got to prepare for Sheryl Swoopes, I think that if we can contain her and make everyone else beat us, we will be in a better position to win the basketball game. But they are at home and we just have to put 40 minutes together on the road.

(On the change in tempo from first to second half) We were not getting our hands on a lot of loose balls and we made a lot of crucial turnovers during important moments in the game. They got a lot of deflections and loose balls that led to fast breaks. They just controlled the tempo in the second half and were more aggressive.

(On maintaining her performance going into Houston) I plan on concentrating more on my shot, taking what the defense gives me, looking for the open shot, and trying to get the other players on the team involved. We need to go into the next game with a open mind and stay together as a team. We are 2- 11 right now and if we stick together as a team and stay positive we can beat anybody. We have to stay aggressive from the beginning to the end of the game
