Chicago Sky rookie Elena Delle Donne scored nine points and took down three rebounds during her nearly 11 minutes against the Los Angeles Sparks Tuesday evening.

Fans watched as Delle Donne went in and out of the game several times. Half way through the second quarter Delle Donne left and did not return to play as she sustained an injury to her left foot. An initial x-ray of the foot returned negative.

Delle Donne shared Wednesday morning, "It was disappointing to have to leave the game so early last night. I'm eager to see what the doctors have to say, and I can't wait to be back out on the court soon."

The doctors confirmed through MRI testing on Wednesday afternoon that Delle Donne suffered a mid-foot sprain. The sprain could keep her off the court for a couple of weeks. Further evaluation of the foot will take place when Delle Donne returns to Chicago.
