You watched her earn the 2002 Final Four Most Outstanding Player honors after leading the UCONN Huskies to an undefeated 39-0 season and second national title in three years.

Then in her second year, you watched her turn around a last place team with season averages of 16.6 ppg, 5.8 rpg and 3.2 apg and lead the Shock as it wrestled the WNBA title away from the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2003 WNBA Finals.

Terence (Detroit): Hey Swin! Congratulations on your WNBA title and hoping you have many more. I was so proud of the team. I cried at the Palace when you ladies won. I wish you or more of the Shock players could have been at the Holiday party. What is your feeling about the wider lanes in the league for next year?

swin cash: I think the wider lanes will open up inside play for all of the post players which in turn will give more opportunity for the inside-outside game for posts and guards.

Dayna : Hi Swin. I was wondering how long you practiced when you were younger and played basketball. I am 12 years old and I do not know how much to practice and what to practice. I want to play just like you so I was wondering what you did. You are an excellent player. Congrads on being the CHAMPS!! Can't wait to see you next season!!

swin cash: I played a lot of sports when I was younger and the main thing to remember is just to have a lot of fun. You want to work on one aspect of your game every day, but remember the best practice is actually playing games.

Brittany , Canada: hey do you think that you had anything to prove to the WNBA? do you think that your coach made you work any harder because of the Lamibeer and Cooper rivialry?Deanna Nolan rocks too..!!

swin cash: I feel like I had a lot to prove this past year, coming off a losing season and being the captain of the team and also coming from a winning college career. I was no longer with Tamika, Sue and Ashja, so for me it was about forming my own identity in this league with this team. To answer the other question, I think Coach Laimbeer and Cooper brought a whole lot of excitement to the WNBA because of their history, but when it was all said and done, the game was just played and won and lost by the females on the court.

Mark, Washington, DC: Swin, I think you game is awesome. Can you tell me how you learned the art of free throw shooting so well.

swin cash: Practicing free throws will become a habit if you shoot at least a hundred a day. Just try to relax and focus and shoot them the same way every time.

Evan(Trumbull,CT.): Dear Swin, How often do you talk to your old UConn teamates, like Sue, Svetlana, or Diana? Go Shock!!!!!

swin cash: I talk to Tamika, Sue and Asjha at least once a week, and Diana and some of the younger guys I will try to talk to them a couple of times a month, but I don't like to bother them too much when they're in season.

Sonia 9(Hollywood): What are you doing in off season?

swin cash: Right now, I'm currently training with a personal trainer. I'm also doing a lot of different marketing for the WNBA and also pursuing other ventures, such as advertising and also maybe taking some classes at university.

Ralph, Sanger: How bad is trash talking in the WNBA?

swin cash: I think that talking is just a part of the game. Females are very emotional beings, so talking trash is just part of the game.

Katja (Kansas City): Are you surprised at the losses UCONN has suffered thus far this season?

swin cash: Every team goes through its ups and its down, but the main thing is to be the last one standing, and I still believe that they are the best team in college basketball.

Antonio (NYC): Swin, I was at the NBA store on Wednesday and I thought I saw you. Were you there?

swin cash: Yes, I was at the NBA Store on Wednesday. My luggage got lost, so what better place to get a new pair of Nikes than the NBA Store.

Ben Warren (UK, Oxfordshire): How did you get into playing basketball?

swin cash: I come from an athletic family, so I was always around sports. I played basketball, baseball or did cheerleading, so being an active kid was something my parents always demanded.

Brittney( houston): Why do you like numer 32?

swin cash: I wear No. 32 because my mom wore it and it runs in my family. I used to always like Michael Jordan at 23. When I went to college, I decided to flip his number because his number was unavailable.

Egg Harbor Township: What expectations do you have for the new season? Do you hope to win another championship?

swin cash: I don't hope that we win another championship, I'm preparing right now to go and win another championship.

swin cash: Thanks for all the support through the ups and the downs of the Detroit Shock. And I hope to see you out at the Palace of Auburn Hills as we try to capture another championship.
