Detroit Shock Scavenger Hunt / T-Shirt Contest Rules and Regulations

No purchase required to enter. Entrants do not have to purchase any products to win. Void where prohibited, taxed or otherwise restricted by law. Subject to all federal, state and local laws.

How to Enter: Contest begins on August 29, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. and ends April 29, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. (�Promotional Period�). There are only two (2) ways to enter.

Entries: (1) Entrants who are 13 years of age or older as of August 29, 2005 may complete an on-line survey form at DetroitShock.com to be automatically entered to participate and e-mail all scavenger hunt photos to fanphotos@palacenet.com. Entries mechanically reproduced or made in any fashion of the contest are void. (2) All entrants, including entrants who are under 13 years of age as of July 17, 2005, can send name(s), address, phone number and photos to Detroit Shock Scavenger Hunt / T-Shirt Contest, 4 Championship Drive, Auburn Hills, MI 48326 ATTN: Alicia Jeffreys. One entry per person/email address/household.

Indemnification: Entries must be received no later than April 29, 2006. All entries become the property of the Detroit Shock and will not be acknowledged or returned. Incomplete entries are void. By entering, all entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the judge's decisions. By entering, entrant agrees to follow the Official Rules and hold harmless and indemnify the Detroit Shock, Women's National Basketball Association and its Teams and operators, WNBA Enterprises, LLC, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, employees and agents against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), with respect to or arising out of either (i) entrant�s participation; or (ii) the receipt or use of the prizes awarded in the promotion. False or deceptive entries or acts will render the entrant ineligible.

Prizes: Prizes will be distributed based on the number of points each contestant receives (see point sheet).

  • One (1) grand place winner will receive two (2) V.I.P. Season Tickets for the 2006 Detroit Shock season (prize value: $2516).
  • One (1) second place prize winner will win a trip for two (2) to Las Vegas, courtesy of Worry Free Vacations (prize value: $1,000).
  • One (1) third place winner will receive a 2005 Detroit Shock basketball autographed by the 2005 Detroit Shock players (prize value: $100).
  • One (1) fourth place winner will receive lunch for five (5), including the winner's favorite Shock player at The Palace Grille (prize value: $200).
  • All other contestants will will receive a Shock prize package (prize value: $100).
Winner: The one (1) person who proudly wears his/her Shock colors while doing a variety of different activities and always supporting your favorite WNBA team. You will receive the designated number of points for each location at which you are photographed in your Shock t-shirt. Photographs will be submitted by email to � Points for locations/people not listed will be up to the judges� discretion. Judges reserve the right to ask for proof of your travels as no Photoshop or computer generated images will be accepted. Each item on the list may only be completed once for points. Except where prohibited, in consideration for being awarded the prize, winner hereby agrees and consents, without further authorization, compensation or remuneration of any kind, to the use of winner�s name and likeness in any and all advertising, promotions and other publicity conducted by the Detroit Shock, Women's National Basketball Association and its Teams and operators, WNBA Enterprises, LLC, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, employees and agents. In the event that the winner cannot be contacted or declines the prize, another winner will be randomly selected from eligible entries. The grand prize is transferable only to immediate family who live at the same address as the winner. Winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes and any expenses associated with the prize, unless otherwise indicated. No substitution, cash equivalent or transfer of prize permitted except at the team's option for a prize of comparable or greater value.

Eligibility: The contest is open only to residents of the state of Michigan within a 75 mile radius of the Palace of Auburn Hills. Online entrants must be 13 years of age or older as of August 29, 2005. Employees and immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) of the Detroit Shock, Women's National Basketball Association and its Teams and operators, WNBA Enterprises, LLC, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, employees and agents are not eligible. Entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judging organization regarding all aspects of the contest, whose decisions shall be final.
