Hey fans! It's me and I'm back as promised, to catch you up on the happenings from NBA All-Star. Just in case you didn't catch the NBA Saturday Night, it was awesome. Detroit won the shooting stars challenge (Deeetroit basketball!). My favorite part was the dunk contest, although Dwight "Superman" Howard didn't defend his title. Nate Robinson's jumping over Dwight to dunk was awesome though.
After that I went to the party that everyone wants to get into: the Players Association Party. T.I. and Anthony Hamilton performed. I really enjoyed their performances.
Today I went to the NBA Legends Brunch. It was awesome to be among the NBA greats that started the game and paved the way for today's current stars. My favorites were Dr. J and Magic. They helped make the game what it is today.
And then we were off to the NBA All-Star game. This game wasn't just the typical All-Star game where they just run and shoot; they actually played a little defense. The West ended up winning 146 - 119. I thought it was cool that Shaq and Kobe were reunited after so long.
Then it was back to my room to rest up for my early flight back to Detroit...and it better not be snowing when I get there! So good night all. Until next time.

Hey Detroit fans! I'm here at NBA All-Star in Phoenix and figured I'd check in with y'all. I was looking forward to enjoying the warm weather for a weekend, but I haven't been so lucky. It's freakin cold here! Here I was all ready to lie by the pool and wear my hottest going out clothes, and I arrive to Detroit weather! Ok well, almost. I'm exaggerating a little, but it is not nearly as warm as I had hoped. Thankfully, I stuffed enough clothes into my 80-pound luggage to make it work.
As usual at All-Star, we've been out in the community doing appearances. Yesterday we went on a YMCA circuit around Phoenix. Terry Porter and I talked to the kids about having a positive attitude, being respectful, and sportsmanship. They were really excited to have us there and it's always good to be able to reach out and interact with kids. And today, we went and helped paint houses. I got paint on my brand new jeans, but other than that, I enjoyed it.
Even though the community outreach stuff is fun, you know it can't be all work. I love the All-Star festivities! I just came back from the Celebrity game that my former Shock teammate Nancy Lieberman played in. Her team won and she had a couple nice dimes (assists). But the event I'm most looking forward to is the dunk contest on Saturday where Superman will be defending his title.
Well that's it for now. Come back and check me out on Sunday, where I'll give you the scoop on more of the events and the Phoenix night life. Talk to you later!
