A: Nov. 1 - All 13 existing teams submitted their Roster Lists to the Chicago Sky and the League Office.

A: No, only the names of the players ultimately selected by Chicago will be made public.

Q: Are teams able to make any player transactions from November 1 through November 15?

A: The only transactions that are permissible are those where Chicago (i) makes an agreement with an existing team to select a particular player from an Unprotect List and trade that player to a team other than her existing team, and (ii) an agreement to select (or not select) a particular player from such trading team�s Unprotected List.

Q: When does the Salary Cap go in to effect with regards to the Chicago Sky?

A: Chicago may select players in the Expansion Draft without regard to the Salary Cap, but must be at or below the Cap at the start of the 2006 Salary Cap Year (January 1, 2006).

Q: What happens if Chicago selects a player in the Expansion Draft who is not signed to a contact for the 2006 season?

A: Chicago would then receive whatever rights to such a player that the existing team would have had if that player were not selected in the Expansion Draft.

If Chicago selects a player who has completed the playing services called for in her player contract and has four or five years of service (a �potential restricted free agent�), Chicago has the right of first refusal with respect to the player.

Q: Can Chicago draft an Unrestricted Free Agents?

A: No, however in order for an existing team to retain the right to designate any of their Unrestricted Free Agents as a Core Player in January of 2006, that player had to have been listed as a Protected Player on that teams Roster List.

Q: Can an existing team reacquire a player it loses in the Expansion Draft?

A: Not prior to the end of the 2006 WNBA Season unless the player is claimed off of waivers (with the existing team claiming last regardless of won/loss record) or the player has cleared waivers.
