Candice and Tiffany: Update from Abroad

All the talent in the world won�t take you anywhere without your teammates.
Candice Wiggins and Tiffany Jackson-Jones are experiencing that first hand as they play together overseas this season.
The Tulsa Shock�s 5-foot-11 point guard, Candice Wiggins, joins her teammate, Tiffany Jackson-Jones, a 6-foot-3 forward, in Israel playing for Maccabi Ashdod.

The Maccabi Bnot Ashdod has been a professional women�s basketball team based in Ashdod, Israel, since 1991.� Maccabi Ashdod, is ranked second in the Division 1 standings and also won the Israeli Cup Winner in 2010, 2011 and 2013.Through the current standings, Maccabi Ashdod is currently chasing Eliztur Ramla for first place in the standings. Elitzur Ramla are the 2013 Israeli League Champions and have two WNBA players Allison Hightow, a point guard from the Connecticut Sun and Tamara James, a forward from the Washington Mystics.

Hightower is averaging 31.3 minutes per game �16.9 points and James is averaging ��30.3 minutes �per game game and 13.3 points per game.

Maccabi Ashdod record is 14-2 with Jackson-Jones is averaging 28.7 minutes and 13.8 points a game.

Before giving birth to her son last season, Tiffany played in Israel for Maccabi Ramat-Hen.

Maccabi Ashdod has won all of its games since Wiggins has been signed by the team last month.. Candice is averaging 27.8 minutes a game with 13.3 points.

Candice has played for three teams in Europe, the Sony Athinaikos in Greece, Ros Casares in Spain and during the 2011 and 12 seasons for Besiktas in Turkey.

Wiggins and Jackson-Jones aren�t the only players on Maccabi Ashdod that represent the WNBA. San Antonio Stars center, Danielle Adams, averages 28 minutes a game with 17.8 points and helped lead Maccabi Ashdod to 12 victories in 14 games.


Wiggins posted a photo to her Facebook and said the fans in Israel are amazing.
