The defending WNBA Champion Detroit Shock beat the Sacramento Monarchs 84-74 at ARCO Arena in Sacramento on Saturday, June 19, 2004.
After netting a career-high 29 points, forward Swin Cash became the Shock's all-time leading scorer with 1,183 points, passing Astou Ndiaye-Diatta (1,181 points).
Deanna Nolan added 16 points for the Shock and Elaine Powell dished out a season-high 8 assists. Detroit shot 50.0% (31-62 FG), it's highest shooting percentage of the season.
