Mfon Udoka
Mfon Udoka, a DePaul University product, went undrafted in the 1998 WNBA Draft and was assigned to the Shock by the WNBA on May 2, 1998. Detroit waived Udoka on June 1, 1998. The Houston Comets signed her as a free agent on May 1, 2003, waiving her on May 17, 2004. The Los Angeles Sparks signed Udoka as a free agent on September 7, 2004. After her contract lapsed at season's end, the San Antonio Silver Stars signed Udoka as a free agent on April 21, 2005, waiving her on May 10 of that same year. The Chicago Sky signed her on April 13, 2006, waiving her on April 30, 2006.

Ujhelyi, Petra (2003)


Ujhelyi
The Phoenix Mercury selected Ujhelyi in the second round (No. 16 overall) in the 2003 WNBA Draft out of the University of South Carolina. The Detroit Shock acquired her in a trade just days later on April 28, 2003, along with Telisha Quarles, in exchange for Edwina Brown and Lenae Williams. She remained with the team until April 22, 2004 when she was released having played a reserve role on the Shock's 2003 WNBA Championship team. The Washington Mystics signed Ujhelyi on April 25, 2004, waiving her on June 29 of that same year. The Minnesota Lynx signed her on March 16, 2005, but waived her two months later on May 16.

The Phoenix Mercury's home arena was known as America West Arena until the 2006 season when the name was changed to US Airways Center.

Utah Starzz (1997-2002)


The Utah Starzz were one of the eight original WNBA franchises and played their home games at the Delta Center. They were members of the Western Conference during their six years of existence. Following the 2002 WNBA Season, the Starzz relocated to San Antonio where they became known as the San Antonio Silver Strazz. While in Utah, the Starzz improved their win totals every season, participating in the WNBA Playoffs in 2001 and 2002 and advancing to the Western Conference Finals in 2002 where they lost to the eventual league champs, the Los Angeles Sparks.

Players who played in Utah and in Detroit are Jennifer Azzi, Cindy Brown, Korie Hlede, Wendy Palmer-Daniel and Olympia Scott-Richardson.
