Target Center
The Target Center has been the home of the Minnesota Lynx since the Lynx joined the WNBA in 1999.


TD Waterhouse Center
The Orlando Miracle played their home games at the TD Waterhouse Center during their four years in the WNBA. The Shock are 1-6 all-time at TD Waterhouse Center.


Zane Teilane
The Detroit Shock selected Zane Teilane, out of Western Illinois University, with their third round pick (No. 35 overall) in the 2006 WNBA Draft. The Shock waived Teilane on May 17, 2006, but the Washington Mystics signed on her on May 19 of that year, and she finished out the season on the Mystics roster.

Tennessee, University Of
The University of Tennessee, founed in 1794, began competing intercollegiately in women's basketball in 1973-74. They have advanced to 25 NCAA Tournaments, 16 Final Fours and won six National Championships. The Shock drafted Tennessee guard Kara Lawson in the first round of the 2003 WNBA Draft before trading her to Sacramento.


Texas Tech University
Founded in 1923, Texas Tech began its women's basketball program in 1975-76 and has particpated in 18 NCAA Tournaments winning the championship in 1992-93. The Shock's Plenette Pierson played for the Lady Raiders.


Texas, University of
The University of Texas, established in 1883, launched its women's basketball program for the 1974-75 collegiate season. Over the years, the Longhorns have advanced to 21 NCAA Tournaments winning one National Championship in 1986. Players who have played for Texas and the Detroit Shock are Edwina Brown, Stacy Stephens and Nina Norman.


Thomas, LaToya (2008-)


Thomas
The Cleveland Rockers made LaToya Thomas the first pick in the 2003 WNBA Draft after a four-year career at Mississippi State University. The Rockers disbanded following Thomas' rookie campaign, and the San Antonio Silver Stars selected her in the Dispersal Draft that followed. She played for the Silver Stars from 2004 to 2006 and on May 4, 2007 Thomas signed with the Los Angeles as a free agent. After one season in LA, Thomas was selected by the Atlanta Dream on February 6, 2008 in the WNBA Expansion Draft and traded, along with the 18th pick in the 2008 WNBA Draft, to the Detroit Shock in exchange for Ivory Latta.

Thomas, Stacey (2003-2005)


Thomas
Thomas is a local product having attended the University of Michigan. She was drafted in the second round (23rd overall) of the 2000 WNBA Draft by the Portland Fire and was signed by the Phoenix Mercury as a free agent on May 28, 2003 after the Fire ceased operation. The Shock acquired Thomas on July 31, 2003 in exchange for Tamara Moore just in time for the team's championship run. During the 2004 WNBA Season, Thomas was waived on May 18, but later re-signed as a free agent on September 13 for the final days of the season. Detroit traded her to the Minnesota Lynx on July 30, 2005 along with Chandi Jones and the Shock�s first round pick in the 2006 WNBA Draft in exchange for Katie Smith and Minnesota�s 2006 first round pick. Thomas signed with the Charlotte Sting prior to the 2006 season, but was waived on May 16 of that year.

Thompkins, Nikki
After finishing her collegiate career at Central Michigan in 1994, Thompkins played professionally overseas for a number of years before signing with the WNBA as a free agent and being assigned to the Shock on April 29, 2002. Detroit waived Thompkins on May 7, 2002.


Tillis, Iciss (2004)


Tillis
Tillis played her collegiate basketball for the Duke Blue Devils and the Shock selected her with their first round pick (No. 11 Overall) in the 2004 WNBA Draft. She was traded to the Washington Mystics on April 14, 2005 in exchange for the Mystics� first round draft pick (13th overall) in the 2005 WNBA Draft. Waived by Washington on May 20, 2005, Tillis signed with the New York Liberty as a free agent on February 14, 2006.

Tornikidou, Elena (1999-2001)
Russian native Elena Tornikidou was allocated to the Detroit Shock on May 12, 1999. The Shock waived her on July 5, 1999, but was re-allocated to the Shock in 2000. Tornikidou ended her WNBA career after the 2001 season.

Toyota Center
The Houston Comets spent their first seven years playing in the Compaq Center. They relocated to the Toyota Center prior to the 2004 season, and moved to Reliant Arena beginning in 2008..


Triple-Double
An individual is considered to have recorded a triple-double in a game when she accumulates double-digit totals in any three of these categories: points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocked shots. As of the end of the 2006 season, there were five triple doubles in WNBA history. Deanna Nolan recorded the fourth triple-double in league history on May 21, 2005 with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists vs. Connecticut.


Tulane University
Tulane University was founded in 1718 in New Orleans, Louisiana and launched its women's basketball program for the 1975-76 season. The Green Wave have made nine NCAA Tournament appearances over the years. Barbara Farris played for both the Shock and Tulane.


Tulsa, University of
The University of Tulsa, established in 1894, launched its women�s basketball program for the 1976-77 collegiate season and discontinued it after the 1986-87 season. The program was resurected for the 1996-1997 season and continues to this day. The Golden Hurricanes have one NCAA Tournament appearance to their credit. Allison Curtin played for the University of Tulsa and the Detroit Shock.
