In her first professional game on May 17 against the 2007 defending champion Phoenix Mercury, Parker posted the best rookie debut in WNBA history and came within two assists of a triple-double. In the Sparks' 99-94 victory over the Mercury, Parker captivated a national television audience with 34 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. Los Angeles is off to a 3-1 start with Parker contributing in every way possible. The No.1 overall pick in the 2008 WNBA Draft, Parker leads all rookies in scoring (19.2 ppg), rebounding (11.5 rpg) and assists (6.3 apg). She also sits atop the entire WNBA in rebounds per game and ranks among the top six in the league in points and assists per game.
On May 29 against the Indiana Fever, Parker tallied the first-ever "5x5" performance in WNBA history, posting 16 points, 16 rebounds, six blocked shots, five assists and five steals.

May 19 vs. Phoenix: Registered 34 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists
in the 99-94 win over the Mercury.
May 25 vs. Atlanta: Scored 12 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished
out six assists in the 74-56 win
over the Dream.
May 29 vs. Indiana: In a double-overtime loss, Parker was the first WNBA
player ever to record at least five
in each of the following categories: points (16), rebounds (16), blocked shots
(six),
assists (five) and steals (five).
May 31 vs. Washington: Recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11
rebounds in a 70-59 win over the
Mystics.
