NEW YORK, September 10, 2012 -- Lindsey Harding of the Atlanta Dream and Maya Moore of the Minnesota Lynx were named the WNBA�s Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week presented by Boost Mobile, respectively, for games played Sept. 3 through Sep. 9.

This marks the first season that Boost Mobile � the WNBA�s leaguewide marquee partner � has presented the WNBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week awards.

For Harding, the Player of the Week award presented by Boost Mobile is the first of her career.

Harding led Atlanta to a 2-1 record for the week as the Dream improved to 16-14 overall, third best in the Eastern Conference. In the process, the sixth-year pro ranked second in the East in assists (6.3 apg), tied for fourth in scoring (19.3 ppg), and tied for fifth in steals (1.67 spg), while leading the conference in minutes (36.3 mpg).

A product of Duke University, Harding opened the week with a then-season-high 20 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter, while adding four rebounds and three assists as Atlanta topped conference rival Indiana, 71-64. Two days later she surpassed that with a 23-point effort that included seven assists, four boards and two steals as Atlanta took Western Conference-leading Minnesota (22-4 entering that contest) to double overtime before falling, 97-93. Harding closed out the week by leading Atlanta past visiting Washington, 93-68, as she tied her season high of nine steals and contributed 15 points and a pair of steals.

For Moore, who earned WNBA Rookie of the Year accolades in 2011 while helping Minnesota to its first championship in franchise history, the Player of the Week award presented by Boost Mobile is the second of the season as well as her career. She garnered her first such honor on Aug. 21.

In leading the Lynx to home wins over Los Angeles (88-77) and Atlanta (97-93), as well as a road victory at San Antonio (81-62) � all playoff-bound teams � Moore helped Minnesota extend its winning streak to 11 games, the longest current streak in the WNBA. The Lynx also improved its league-best record to 24-4 (.857) and clinched the Western Conference�s top seed for the post-season.

Moore ranked second in the Western Conference in both scoring (21.3 ppg) and rebounds (11 rpg), led the West in steals (3.3 spg) and minutes (36 mpg), tied for sixth in assists (4.0 apg), and ranked seventh in free throw percentage (.867 on 13-of-15 shooting).

The University of Connecticut product began the week with back-to-back 23-point games and closed it with consecutive 12-rebound efforts. In the process, she was the Lynx' leading scorer in all three games and registered a pair of double-doubles.

In the win over Los Angeles, Moore posted game-high totals of 23 points and nine rebounds and tied the franchise�s single-game record for steals with a personal career-high of seven. She then helped Minnesota erase a 25-point deficit, scoring 19 of her 23 points after intermission and totaling 12 boards as the Lynx beat Atlanta in double-overtime on Sept. 7. That effort enabled the Lynx to equal the largest comeback in WNBA history (Detroit vs. Los Angeles, May 26, 2005). The second-year pro capped her week by leading Minnesota across the board points (18), rebounds (12), and assists (six) in the Sept. 9 victory at San Antonio.

Other candidates for WNBA Players of the Week presented by Boost Mobile were Chicago�s Epiphanny Prince, Connecticut�s Tina Charles, and Indiana�s Katie Douglas in the East, and, in the West, Phoenix�s DeWanna Bonner, Seattle�s Camille Little and Tulsa�s Ivory Latta.

The WNBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week presented by Boost Mobile are part of a series of on-court performance awards called the WNBA Performance Awards presented by Boost Mobile.
