MONARCHS TV SCHEDULE TO FEATURE
EVERY WNBA CHAMPION
Games Against Comets, Mercury, Shock, Sparks and Storm Highlight Monarchs TV Slate

SACRAMENTO, CALIF., April 16, 2008 - The Sacramento Monarchs today announced the team will have 10 games televised this season, including match-ups with every WNBA champion to date.

Highlighting the 10-game television slate are two games against the 2007 WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury, plus games against the Houston Comets, Detroit Shock, Los Angeles Sparks and Seattle Storm.

News10 (ABC) will televise three games this season, including the Monarchs 12th WNBA season opener on May 17 at 7 p.m. PDT at ARCO Arena. Fans will experience a 2007 WNBA Playoffs rematch, as the Monarchs face-off against their first round opponent from last year, the San Antonio Silver Stars. The Monarchs home opener has been sold out the last six seasons � a WNBA record.

Comcast SportsNet (CSN) will carry five Monarchs games this season. Its first Monarchs broadcast of the year will be on Saturday, June 14, when Sacramento takes on the Los Angeles Sparks at 7 p.m. PDT at ARCO Arena.

In addition to locally-televised games on News10 and Comcast SportsNet, two Monarchs games will be shown live on ESPN2.

Jim Kozimor, in his 10th season with the franchise, will call the play-by-play on both News10 and Comcast SportsNet with Monarchs analyst Krista Blunk, in her 12th season.
