1. Phoenix Mercury: Brittney Griner, C, Baylor
While Griner's college career ended sooner than she wanted, she can now focus on being the No. 1 overall pick on April 15.
2. Chicago Sky: Elena Delle Donne, F, Delaware
To me, there should be no question that Delle Donne is the second pick. Her size and skills give her the potential to be one of the WNBA's best players for years to come next to Sylvia Fowles.
3. Tulsa Shock: Skylar Diggins, G, Notre Dame
The Shock will take whichever of the three top prospects is left, but Tulsa's moves this offseason -- including letting point guards Temeka Johnson and Ivory Latta leave as free agents -- suggest the Shock is expecting to land Diggins.
4. Washington Mystics: Tianna Hawkins, F, Maryland
Hawkins and fellow Terp Crystal Langhorne would be a crowd at the four spot, but the Mystics have never been known to let a Maryland alum slip past them.
5. New York Liberty: Kelsey Bone, C, Texas A&M
Bone has yet to officially declare for the draft. I'm expecting her to pass up a fifth year of eligilbity because she is unlikely to slip past the fifth pick with both the Mystics and the Liberty in need of frontcourt help.
6. Seattle Storm: Tayler Hill, G, Ohio State
The Storm could use a post, too, with Lauren Jackson sitting out the season. Still, there's nobody worth reaching for and Hill's ability to play either guard spot would pair nicely with Tanisha Wright in Sue Bird's absence.
7. New York Liberty: Alex Bentley, G, Penn State
With the Liberty's other pick, Bill Laimbeer is likely to target help at point guard. The top player available will likely be Lindsey Moore, but she doesn't seem like a Laimbeer PG. If he keeps the pick, Laimbeer might favor the defensive-minded Bentley.
8. San Antonio Silver Stars: Carolyn Davis, F, Kansas
The Silver Stars are another team looking for help up front with Sophia Young sidelined by a torn ACL and a solid backcourt corps. Davis and Syracuse center Kayla Alexander are two possibilities.
9. Indiana Fever: Markel Walker, F, UCLA
Tamika Catchings' versatility gives the defending champs options in adding depth to the forward spots. Walker's well-rounded game makes her the best prospect available in the frontcourt.
10. Los Angeles Sparks: A'dia Mathies, G, Kentucky
The Sparks have loaded up with the addition of Lindsey Harding. If anything is still missing in L.A., it's athleticism on the wing off the bench. Mathies fits that bill.
11. Connecticut Sun: Kayla Alexander, C, Syracuse
With Asjha Jones sitting the season out, the Sun could use additional depth in the frontcourt. Georgia's Jasmine Hassell would make sense, but adding Alexander as a backup to Tina Charles would allow Connecticut to use Mistie Mims at power forward.
12. Minnesota Lynx: Lindsey Moore, G, Nebraska
After dealing Candice Wiggins to Tulsa, the Lynx have an opening for a backup to Lindsay Whalen. Minnesota would be thrilled if the other Lindse(a)y fell to the end of the first round.
