Lil� Romeo to Perform at Mercury Home Opener
WHAT: Lil� Romeo will make a pregame appearance and perform at halftime of the Phoenix Mercury season opener against the Sacramento Monarchs. The Mercury will also be giving away FREE visors, presented by Dial Corporation, to the first 4,000 fans.
WHEN: Saturday, May 21, 2005
TIME: Contests for meet and greet opportunities with Lil� Romeo begin at 5 p.m. on the plaza. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tip-off is 7 p.m.

THE TEAM: The Phoenix Mercury is kicking off their ninth WNBA season under second-year head coach Carrie Graf. Reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year Diana Taurasi returns for her sophomore campaign and Mercury legend Michele Timms is back on the sidelines as an assistant coach.

SIDELINES: Fifteen-year-old Lil� Romeo released his first CD at the age of 11 in 2001. With his first hit off his self-titled CD, �My Baby�, Lil� Romeo became the youngest solo artist to top the Billboard 100 singles chart, surpassing Michael Jackson. He was also named �Rap Artist of the Year� at the 2001 Billboard Music Awards.
In September 2004, he released his third CD, Romeoland. His hit single �My Cinderella� debuted at #22. Lil' Romeo's hit television show, "Romeo!," kicked off its second season this fall on the Nickelodeon network. The show is rated #1 on all of cable in its Sunday prime time slot among kids ages 9 - 14.
Romeo is the son of Rap Entrepreneur, Percy �Master P� Miller.
