See what she had to say when she chatted with WNBA.com on Thursday, August 28th.
cc: I Phoenix can beat any of these playoff teams, none of them beat us by too many points. I think Houston can still knock out the Sparks, do you?
Adrian Williams: That's a tough question. On any given day, any team can win. I think LA has the Houston, but both are playing great basketball right now.
Sharon (Phoenix): Who do you think is going to win the championship this year?
Adrian Williams: Like a movie, I don't want to guess. Your guess is as good as mine.
Sarah Parker, Fountain Hills: Hey Adrian, What are your plans for the offseason and are you planning on comming back to pheonix next season. Hope to see you next season.
Adrian Williams: Like any offseason, I plan to work on my skills. I made some notes during the season on what I need to work on. I am not sure if I am going overseas, but either way, I plan to use the offseason to get better.
Desoto Tx.: Hi Adrian Who is the toughest team in the playoffs that you faced? Why?
Adrian Williams: LA is the best when they are uninjured. The have All-Stars in so many positions.
stephanie (wantagh): what is the best part of the wnba?
Adrian Williams: The best part is waking up and knowing that I am doing something I love to do and that I have a God-given talent to do. It's great to do something that is a true love.
Rhonda Glendale AZ: Hi Adrian...we missed you at the party on Tuesday. Anyway, do you think getting the #1 draft pick would really help the Mercury? If so in which ways?
Thank you!
Adrian Williams: Thank you. I wish I could have been at the party. You look at all the top picks - Bird, Catchings, etc.. and you see a first pick can make a big difference. It's exciting to think what a first pick can do for us.
KT4MVP: Who do you think should win the MVP award this season? There are so many players who have a strong case... how important is it that the MVP goes to a player on a playoff team?
Adrian Williams: I am still trying to figure that. Between Lauren Jackson and Tamika Catchings, it's hard to pick. I think a MVP is someone whose team would change the most if the player was not there.
gina, mesa: adrian -
what was up with the name change from Adrain to adrian?
Adrian Williams: I blame my parent (laughs). I knew it was -ain, but my parents changed it to -ian because they thought it was too much like a boy. It was later that I changed it officially.
Felix, Dallas, TX: Do you think this was like your breakout year and that you can be an all-star candidate from hereon?
Adrian Williams: Yeah, I consider it a breakout year. The coach took the reins off, so I was more free to do show what I can do.
Cleveland: how do you motivate your self after a losing game?
Adrian Williams: It gets tough. I just pray and think about 'Did I do what it took to win?' Then I go get my two nieces.
Michael (Los Angeles): I came out from L.A. to see the Mercury six times this summer. You and Anna were fantastic! How do you make the team better next season?
Adrian Williams: Hi Michael. Thanks for supporting us. We will get better by everybody improving this summer, getting a good draft pick and let the General Manager do the rest. I plan on coming back better.
Adrian Williams: Thank you to the Mercury and the fans for your support. We'll come back stronger and better. God
