Sept. 15, 1998 - The league allocated the first player to the Lynx, Stanford forward Kristin Folkl
Nov. 17, 1998 - Hired Brian Agler as head coach and general manager
Dec. 3, 1998 - Hired Kelly Kramer and Heidi VanDerveer as assistant coaches
Dec. 5, 1998 - The Minnesota Lynx name is unveiled along with the team�s logo
April 6, 1999 - Selected four players in the expansion draft: Brandy Reed (Phoenix), Kim Williams (Utah), Octavia Blue (Los Angeles) and Adia Barnes (Sacramento)
May 3, 1999 - League allocated Katie Smith to the Lynx
May 4, 1999 - Selected five players in the WNBA Draft: Tonya Edwards (Columbus Quest), Trisha Fallon (WNBL), Andrea Lloyd Curry (Columbus Quest), Sonja Tate (Columbus Quest) and Angie Potthoff (Columbus Quest)
May 14, 1999 - The league allocated Charmin Smith to Lynx
May 26, 1999 - The league allocated Annie LaFleur to Lynx
