Sarah (Long Island): Hey Becky, How Healthy is the knee right now?

Becky Hammon: It's pretty good right now. I'm kind of excited because I can now run and jump. Everything has healed well and the rehab is going great. I'm really excited about getting a ball and getting out onto the court and picking up right where I left off.

Laura (Canada): Hey Becky! Hope all is going well with you. What was your initial reaction when you learned you tore your ACL? Any advice to someone who just tore hers and lost her Sr. season of high school to the injury? Thanx

Becky Hammon: When I was on the court and I tore it I didn't think I tore it. I thought I just sprained it, although that could've been my optimistic thinking. Lots of things were going through my mind, it was hard, and my teammates were with me and supporting me. But it was a season-ending issue, not a career-ending injury. There's a flood of emotions but you just do what you have to do, get the surgery and get back to being healthy.

sarah (ft collins): What's the most difficult obstacle you've had to overcome other than your recent ACL injury since being a part of the WNBA?

Becky Hammon: I think originally it was just breaking into the league. I had a great college career, but people didn't think I was big enough to play in this league. It was hard the first couple of years, but I needed to prove I could belong. In practice too, I worked as hard as I could to prove I could do it. It's kind of like I had to break through the first perception of me. Numbers-wise in college my numbers were there.

Aimee, Seattle: Hey Becky, I was just wondering what it felt like to find out that you had been selected for your first all-star game?

Becky Hammon: That was exciting. The fact that I was injured and I was still voted to get on the team spoke very loudly. It was special to me that coaches voted for me despite the injury. They knew I earned it. My peers around the league let me know I belonged. There was extra emotion the game being on my homecourt in Madison Square Garden. The Garden was electric that night and it was real special.

Tracy (Kansas): Did you find it difficult to adjust to the East Coast after being a midwest girl for so long?

Becky Hammon: Ha-ha (laughing) It took me a good couple of months to adjust. My teammates got alot of laughs out of me. Learning about cabs and East and West. But now I am an adopted child of New York City and love. I go back to South Dakota and Colorado in the offseason, but I look forward to seeing New York.

Kaylee, Baraga: Who were your role models when you were growing up?? UR THE BEST PLAYER EVER

Becky Hammon: Thank you for the compliment? There wasn't a WNBA when I grew up. I went to the Final Four my senior year and saw Rebecca Lobo lead UCONN to win it all. And then years later I was playing with Rebecca. But as far as basketball Michael Jordan is my alltime favorite. On the court he was just phenomenal.

GardenWarrior55: Hi Becky, how do you feel about the Libs playing some games in Radio City Music Hall next season?

Becky Hammon: I'm really excited about that. It will be a great atmosphere and it will be more intimate, and probably very loud. It is an historic situation and I think people should come out for those games. It should be very, very exciting.

Emile Worthy/Decatur Ga.: Hi Becky.. How have you rehabed with the mental aspect of your injury? And what does your diet consist of now?

Becky Hammon: My rehab, mentally, I have the greatest physical therapist in the world, Yvonne Johnson and she is really helping me along mentally. I am staying positive, the mind is a powerful thing and you just have to believe you will get better and let God take it from there. I have been working hard to get back on the court, and there could be a lot worse things that could happen.

courtney, florida: Do you think you will be able to come back like before you tore your acl? p.s. is that sandwhich named after you good?

Becky Hammon: Ha-ha (laughing) The sandwich is really good. If you go to the Carnegie Deli get the sandwich and also have a piece of the cheesecake, it's real good. As far as playing, I think I may even be stronger with all the work I've been doing.

Daniela(NYC): Hey Becky...happy holidays. Hey do you like to play other sports like tennis or something? If you do who is your favorite athlete in that sport?

Becky Hammon: I do love to play other sports. I love all sports, outdoor, indoor. I love watching football on TV and I like to watch baseball occasionally. I grew up in a football family, my dad and my brother were involved and my Mom is a football fanatic. Also, back in the day, I was a softball player. My favorite athlete is probably Alex Rodriguez.

Robert (Richmond): Hey Becky! I hope the knee is healing nicely. Who is the funniest player on the Liberty?

Becky Hammon: Hmmm. Definitely C-Rob. She says whatever comes into her mind, it's very comical. You can always count on her for a big laugh. Our whole team has a great sense of humor.

SD: Hey Becky! How do you think Diana Taurasi will impact the league? What type of player are the Liberty looking for with their fifth selection in the draft?

Becky Hammon: Diana is going to be just fine in the league. She has a variety of offensive weapons, she can pass, shoot the three, post people up, she will be just fine. From what I've seen Diana Taurasi is far and away the best player in college basketball. For us, we are looking at a variety of options and it depends on what our coaches are looking for.

#25 for MVP: Do you or your family have any favorite holiday traditions? Favorite Christmas song?

Becky Hammon: We do have alot of holiday traditions. We have X-mas Eve at my house. It's awesome now to be Aunt Becky, I have five nieces and nephews and it brings me back to how much I loved being a kid on Christmas. We read the Christmas Story and try and stay focused on what Christmas is about. We probably have about 40-50 people in the house. It's a big shin-dig and a lot of fun. My favorite Christmas song is probably Silent Night.

Becky Hammon: I'd like to thank everybody who wrote in and everyone who sent prayers and well wishes about my knee and I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.
