The Connecticut Sun handed the Minnesota Lynx their first loss of the season last week. Now, the Lynx look for revenge as they try to snap Connecticut's four-game winning streak Tuesday in a matchup of teams with the best records in the WNBA.

The Lynx (6-1) were unbeaten in their first five games before visiting the Sun (7-1) on Friday. Minnesota appeared on its way to a 6-0 start, but Connecticut rallied from a five-point deficit in the final 1:39 and won 78-77 on Asjha Jones' jump-hook with 19.7 seconds remaining.

Connecticut moved into first place in the Eastern Conference by beating Washington 87-79 on Sunday, making Tuesday's game at the Target Center a showdown between the league's conference leaders.

Each club has three players among the league's top 10 in scoring. The Lynx, second in the WNBA with 86.2 points per game, are led by Seimone Augustus (18.0 ppg) and rookies Candice Wiggins (17.0) and Charde Houston (15.0).

The Sun are fourth in the league at 79.9 points a game, and are led by Jones at 16.0 and Barbara Turner and Lindsay Whalen at 15.0.

Connecticut pushed its win streak to four Sunday by opening the second half on a 19-0 run and holding the Mystics scoreless in the third quarter until 3:07 remained. Jones finished with 16 points.

Tuesday begins a five-game road trip for the Sun, who have won both their road games this year. They're 3-5 against Minnesota at the Target Center, but have won six of the last seven overall meetings. Minnesota's lone victory during that stretch was a 77-73 overtime win at home June 13.

The Lynx bounced back from their loss to the Sun on Friday by beating San Antonio 90-78 on Sunday. Houston scored 11 of her 15 points in the second half, while Augustus led Minnesota with 18 points.

The Lynx saw their 13-point third-quarter lead cut to one in the fourth, but responded with a 20-5 run to pull away.

Houston, who had totaled 10 points in her previous two games, was 6-of-9 from the field Sunday. She scored seven consecutive points during a nearly seven-minute stretch in the second half when her teammates went cold.

"My job is just to bring energy," said Houston, who has come off the bench in all seven games this season. "Every time I step on the floor I'm supposed to be a spark, that's my job and I've embraced that 100 percent."

With the win, the Lynx extended the best start in team history. They are 3-0 at home this year.
