UNCASVILLE, Conn., July 5 (Ticker) -- Taj McWilliams-Franklin scored 21 points and Nykesha Sales had 12 of her 14 in the second half as the Connecticut Sun rallied from a 16-point deficit for a 62-58 victory over the New York Liberty.

The Liberty rolled to a 26-point rout of the Sun on Tuesday and seemed to be on their way to their second straight lopsided victory in the series. They had their largest lead at 45-29 with 12:41 remaining before collapsing.

Connecticut scored 33 of the game's final 45 points, including 12 in a row to take the lead for good. Sales made a layup to bring the Sun within 56-55 with 2:23 remaining and buried a jumper 70 seconds later to give the Sun their first lead since the opening minutes.

Connecticut made 5-for-6 free throws in the final 35 seconds, including two apiece from Sales and Pee-Wee Johnson, en route to its third straight home win.

Tari Phillips had 18 points and 10 rebounds and Vickie Johnson scored 12 points for the Liberty, who have lost four of five games on the road this season.
