Robinson scored a season high-tying 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting and Whitmore added 17 on 8-of-11 as the Liberty routed the Sun, 90-64, for their third win in four games.

New York, which was playing its second game since losing guard Becky Hammon to a season-ending knee injury, registered season highs in points and assists (29).

Tari Phillips added 13 points and Elena Baranova 10 for the Liberty, who shot 62 percent (36-of-58) en route to their sixth win in seven home games against the Sun, who until this season were the Orlando Miracle.

Robinson missed Friday's 75-69 loss to Eastern Conference-leading Detroit with a sprained ankle. But she was hot early in this one, scoring 15 consecutive points for the Liberty as they extended an early 12-7 advantage to 27-15 midway through the first half.

New York, which never trailed, held a 47-34 edge at the break before scoring the first nine points of the second half. The Liberty never were threatened thereafter and the final score was their largest margin.

Nykesha Sales scored 26 points but was the only player in double figures for the Sun, who shot 41 percent (22-of-54) as they lost for the fifth time in six contests.
