SAN ANTONIO, June 20 (Ticker) -- Marie Ferdinand scored 20 points and Margo Dydek added 17, 12 rebounds and five blocks as the San Antonio Silver Stars posted a 76-69 victory over the Houston Comets.

The 7-2 Dydek made a jumper with 8:09 left to cap a 13-2 run as San Antonio took its largest lead at 61-46.

Despite being hobbled by a sprained right ankle, Sheryl Swoopes contributed 12 points on 4-for-12 shooting and six rebounds off the bench for Houston.

A two-time league MVP, Swoopes converted a three-point play with less than a minute left to pull the Comets within 69-64.

But Houston lost for just the fifth time in 22 all-time regular-season meetings with the San Antonio franchise.
