Penny Taylor is no stranger to international play. The 6-1 forward from Melbourne, Australia won a silver medal at the 2004 Olympic Games while averaging 14.8 points and 5.4 rebounds, and also won a bronze medal at the 2002 World Championship Games in China.

Taylor was selected by Cleveland in the first round (11th overall) of the 2001 WNBA Draft and was selected by the Phoenix Mercury three seasons later at the WNBA Dispersal Draft in 2004. Taylor has made two postseason appearances and one All-Star appearance during her six-year WNBA career. In 2006 the 25 year old set career-high's in scoring (13.8 ppg) and rebounding (5.6 rpg).
