Laura Summerton is competing in her second World Championship. She helped Australia earn a silver medal at the 2002 World Championship in China and has also won a silver medal at the 2004 Olympics. Earlier this year, the 6-2 center averaged 8.6 points and 3.0 rebounds while starting five games for Australia during the Opals World Challenge.
