The �Power of Girls� mentoring program was back in session this week, as the girls met for their second �Power Lesson� of the year. Topics of discussion included positive body image and wellness, confidence, and goal-setting.

Shooting Stars cheer team members Sandra and Chelsea led a group discussion and the girls talked about their personal role models and goals in life. Sandra and Chelsea then showed the girls how to apply the �SMART� method to their own personal goals.

Donna King, Project Manager for IBM, and Dream team ambassador Chantelle Anderson then spoke to the girls about self-confidence. Each girl created her own �confidence cap� to remind herself of inspirational people that embodied confidence. Due to the bad weather, the girls were unable to enjoy their scheduled pool party. Instead, they wrapped up the afternoon playing games indoors.

Next up, the �Power of Girls� will get together for some quality bonding as part of their �Real Talk� overnighter. The group is also scheduled to go to Six Flags at the end of the month for a special social outing with some Atlanta Dream players!
