Jamin Dershowitz
As the WNBA's legal counsel, Jamin Dershowitz is responsible for advising the league on legal matters and for negotiating player contracts. He has been with the WNBA since its inception and has been a member of the NBA Legal Department since 1993.
A graduate of Yale Law School in 1988, Dershowitz began his legal career as a law clerk for Judge Joseph Tauro of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He then worked for the New York Legal Aid Society, representing indigent people accused of crimes. At the NBA, Dershowitz has worked on a variety of legal matters, including salary cap administration, collective bargaining, Internet and new technologies and the NBA's relationship with USA Basketball.
