Stealing the Gold
The U.S. used 16 steals to get an edge over Russia on Wednesday, winning gold at the World Basketball Championship with a 79-74 victory in China. Tamika Catchings flirted with a triple-double, posting 16 points, 10 rebounds and six steals, and Sheryl Swoopes added 18 points. Lisa Leslie was named MVP of the tournament.
