Whether WNBA players are spending their Thanksgiving overseas or at home with family and friends, there is one they will all be doing during the holiday -- eating good. WNBA.com recently caught up with several players from wherever they may be in the world to ask what their favorite Thanksgiving foods are as well as their favorite Thanksgiving memories.

Tamika Catchings, Indiana Fever:
Favorite Thanksgiving foods:
I love ham, sweet potatoes, rolls, greens, mac and cheese... you name it (other than ham hocks), and I'll at least try it.

Favorite Thanksgiving memory:
My favorite memories are all the Thanksgiving dinners that we have had with family. Whether it be my blood family or my basketball family, every opportunity to sit around and think about the things that I'm thankful for, and the times of fellowship are great memories to me!

Temeka Johnson, Los Angeles Sparks:
Favorite Thanksgiving foods:
My favorite Thanksgiving food to load up is honestly anything that my grandma cooks. Like I said before, I have not had a really Thanksgiving cooking in a long time, so all of grandma's cooking will be great. If i had to choose from a few, I would say the deep fried turkey, and the corn bread stuffing is what I would run away with the most. .

Favorite Thanksgiving memory:
My favorite Thanksgiving memory is honestly just seeing the joy on all of my family members faces. I have not been with them for Thanksgiving in so long, I am really looking forward to all the happy times and faces again.

Ruth Riley, Detroit Shock:
Favorite Thanksgiving foods:
Favorite thanksgiving food . . would definitely be turkey, sweet potatoes, and pumpkin pie!!!

Favorite Thanksgiving memory:
Favorite Thanksgiving memory, last year in Spain -- I tried to cook for the other Americans, Icaught my pot-holder on fire and mistaken the ham for turkey . . . but it was fun!

Kristin Haynie, Sacramento Monarchs:
Favorite Thanksgiving foods:
BREAD, turkey and gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, mac n cheez and cant forget about that apple pie with ice cream.

Favorite Thanksgiving memory:
I don't really have a favorite memory. They are all goood times with the family, can't ask for anything better then to be with them.

Tina Thompson, Houston Comets:
Favorite Thanksgiving foods:
My favorite Thanksgiving foods are of course turkey and homemade dressing, not the box stuff, homemade macaroni and cheese, the only way I'll eat it, collard greens made with smoke turkey, my Grandmothers or my Dad's sweet potato pie, and a tall glass of a mixture of grape and lemonade kool aid, ice cold and yeah can't forget those yeast rolls right out of the oven, Heaven!

Favorite Thanksgiving memory:
My favorite Thanksgiving memories are when I was a child and my Dad, Mom and I would stay up late the night before and prepare the food the night before, and wake up in the morning to the smell on things starting to cook and come together for that afternoon, and no matter how tired I was I would get up to help my Dad finish up. It was a lot of fun and that was also a time when my siblings, my parents and I were all living under the same roof. Now that were all adults and living seperate lives it's a lot harder to get together, me manage but I surely miss those days!

Cappie Pondexter, Phoenix Mercury:

Describing to my Italian family what Thanksgiving is and them trying to cook a Thanksgiving meal for me when I was in Italy two years ago. It was funny sitting at the table not being able to speak their language but yet I was still thankful to be with them laughing and having a good time. Instead of carving a whole turkey, they prepared a whole chicken for me. It was great..

Yuummmm.... Where should I begin??? Dont let my 5'7 150 lbs stature fool ya... When it comes to Thanksgiving, I can throw-down on some food!!! My aunt Pat cooks the best stuffing, and there is nothing like my aunt Brenda's cheese potato's! My aunt Bertha makes a special secret dessert called "Ooo-wee-Goo-ee" and it never fails that every year my mom makes me my own cherry cheesecake that's just for me!!! And whats my special dish that i cook??? Well let's put it like this, they leave it to me to bring the plastic silver wear, lol.

Favorite Thanksgiving memory:
My favorite thanksgiving memory would have to be 6 years ago when my grandma was living. We didn't know it then but that was her last Thanksgiving that she would ever be there with us. I used to love sitting around her and listen to my aunts ask for her approval on their Thanksgiving dishes. She cooked the best sweet potato pies, persimon cookies, and spagettii that I have ever tasted! Ever year we join hands and thank God for blessing us with a Grandmother like her for 70 years.

Ann Strother, Phoenix Mercury:
