NEW YORK (April 2, 2007) — Beginning on Wednesday, April 4, at noon ET, WNBA fans will have their first opportunity to purchase individual game tickets for the league's 11th season.

The WNBA and its 13 member teams are partnering with Ticketmaster in this league-wide initiative. The on-sale date coincides with the WNBA Draft which will be conducted in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 4 and televised live on ESPN2 at 1 p.m. ET.

With the league set to tip off its historic second decade on Saturday, May 19, fans may obtain single-game tickets by calling 1-877-WNBA-TIX or by visiting either Ticketmaster.com or wnba.com/tickets. Tickets also will be available for purchase at team box offices, Ticketmaster outlets and at the NBA Store in New York.

WNBA teams will be offering special ticket plans in their markets. In Detroit, Shock fans can take advantage of the club's 10th anniversary promotion through which those who purchase tickets from April 4-14 will be automatically entered into a drawing for exclusive experience prizes such as a chance to play a game of H.O.R.S.E. against their favorite Shock player. The Minnesota Lynx will be unveiling a special promotion to host their one millionth fan during their home opener against Sacramento on May 20. The lucky fan and their guest will receive a special prize package and the opportunity to attend exclusive events involving the Lynx players and coaches.

All WNBA teams also will be hosting specially-themed games such as "Dads and Daughters Day" and "Inspiring Women Night." Fans purchasing tickets to Dads and Daughters-themed games, scheduled around Father's Day, will receive a limited edition gift. "Inspiring Women" games will provide a platform for teams and fans to recognize and honor women in their respective markets who inspire, motivate and help ignite the dreams and aspirations of females in all fields of endeavor.

Tickets to WNBA All-Star 2007, set to take place at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. on July 15, also will be available for purchase on Wednesday, April 4, beginning at noon ET.

All-Star Game tickets may be purchased through WNBA.com, via Ticketmaster.com, at select Macy*s Department Stores in the Washington, D.C. area, or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-202-397-SEAT. Tickets are also available for purchase at Verizon Center's Box Office.
