Sun Waive Brungo, Cronin
UNCASVILLE, CT. (May 12, 2006) – The Connecticut Sun waived Jessica Brungo and Katie Cronin Friday.
Drafted in the second round (16th overall) of the 2004 WNBA Draft out of Penn State, the 6-foot-1 Brungo appeared in 45 games over the last two seasons, scoring 52 points and collecting 43 rebounds and 29 assists. In two preseason games this season, she had six points, two rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes.
The 6-0 Cronin was signed as a free agent by the Sun on April 6th. The forward out of Colorado State scored 14 points in two preseason games.
The Connecticut Sun regular season tips off on May 20th at Mohegan Sun Arena against the New York Liberty.
