Sun Sign Coker

UNCASVILLE, CT. (March 17, 2006) — The Connecticut Sun announced Friday that Monique Coker has signed a one-year free agent contract with the team. Per team policy, no terms were released.

A 6-foot-2 forward/center out of Old Dominion University, Coker averaged 11 points and 7.4 rebounds per game during her college career. She was a Colonial Athletic Association First Team selection in 2004, and she stands ninth all-time in ODU history in total rebounds (951), and 15th in scoring (1,409 points).

Coker is currently playing professionally for Raanana Hertzliya in Israel, where she is averaging 21 points and 11.6 rebounds per game.
