Sun Sign Jess Brungo
UNCASVILLE, CT. (July 23, 2006) – The Connecticut Sun signed forward Jessica Brungo Sunday for the remainder of the season.Per team policy, terms of the contract were not released.
Drafted by the Sun in the second round (16th overall) of the 2004 WNBA Draft out of Penn State, the 6-foot-1 Brungo appeared in 45 games over the last two seasons, scoring 52 points and collecting 43 rebounds and dishing out 29 assists.
Brungo was waived by the Sun on May 12th. In two preseason games this season, she had six points, two rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes.
