Sales Plays in All-Star Celebrity Game
The stars were out in Denver on Friday night to kick off the NBA All-Star game festivities! Kicking off the weekend was McDonald’s All-Star Celebrity Game, which pitted two teams of WNBA players and music and television celebrities against each other in a fun-filled basketball game.
The Connecticut Sun’s Nykesha Sales helped her team, Team Nuggets, hang on to a thrilling 65-64 win over Team Denver. Sales’ team also featured the Phoenix Mercury’s Diana Taurasi, Grammy-winning artist Brian McKnight, singer Ryan Cabrera and Scrubs actor Donald Faison.
The visiting team featured the New York Liberty’s Becky Hammon, television hosts Roger Lodge and Mark McGrath and actors Wilmer Valderamma and Danny Masterson.
Brian McKnight took home the MVP award.
