High School Tour Stops In Old Saybrook/East Haven

The Connecticut Sun continued its 2005 Girls’ High School Basketball Tour with stops at Old Saybrook and East Haven high schools. The Old Saybrook girls took on Westbrook in a game whose winner would advance to tournament play. It was a competative game. Sun players Jess Brungo and Lindsay Whalen met with both teams before the games to sign autographs and answer questions. At the half members of the Old Saybrook boys team competed in a "dizzy-bat" contest.

A few days later, The East Haven girls took on Branford in a buzzing game setting the Yellowjackets versus the Hornets. Jess Brungo met with both teams before the game and shared stories of what it's like to play ball both in college and professionally. Jess and Blaze signed autographs pre-game for the basketball fans in attendance.

The next fun stop will be at Fitch Senior High School in Groton when the Fitch Falcons take on Killingly High School. Tip-off is at 7 PM.
