Connecticut Sun High School Tour continues with a stop at Norwich Free Academy

The Connecticut Sun made its second stop on the 2005 Girls’ High School Basketball Tour with a visit to Norwich Free Academy to see the Wildcats take on Windham in an important Eastern Connecticut Conference game at Alumni Gym.

Guard Lindsay Whalen and forward Jessica Brungo took center stage again, signing autographs and posing for pictures with the many fans that turned out for the game. At halftime, Lindsay and Jess greeted the crowd, awarded raffle prizes, including Sun tickets, an autographed basketball and team picture, to lucky fans and helped two young fans compete in the Dizzy Bat contest.

After NFA’s loss to Windham, both teams assembled in the bleachers to listen as Lindsay and Jess offered some encouragement and advice. The two Sun rookies also signed autographs for all the players on both teams.
