Overseas Update

The European seasons are underway. Here is a brief update on how some of your favorite Sun players are doing!

Megan Mahoney
Has played in four games for Lavezzina Parma, and is averaging 21.3 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per game thus far on the season. Had led the team in points in all four contests, all victories. Will be in action next on Nov. 11 against Gescom Viterbo.

Evina Maltsi
Has played in three games for Ros Cacares Valencia, averaging 7.0 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.

Sadrine Gruda
Has seen action in two games for UMMC Ekaterinburg, with an average of 16.0 points per game and 6.5 rebounds. The team will be in action next on Nov. 7 against Lindsay Whalen and USK Prague.

Cori Chambers
In her first season overseas, Chambers has seen action in seven games thus far. She has a scoring average 11.8 points per game, good for second on the team, as well as averaging 3.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals.

Katie Douglas
Is averaging 9.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in three games this season for Ros Cacares Valencia.

Kamesha Hairston
Has played in three games for Bnei Yehuda, averaging 38 minutes, second on the team, 10.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, the third-best total on the squad, and 1.7 steals per game, good for second on the team. She will be in action next on Nov. 12 against Raanana Hertzliya.

Le’Coe Willingham
Had 21 points and 11 rebounds in win last week, which led her to being named the player of the week in la Liga Femenina. Has played in three games for Olesa and is averaging 22 points, second in the league, as well as nine rebounds, good for fifth in the league.

Kristen Rasmussen
Is averaging 8.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in three games for Puig D'En Valls.

Lindsay Whalen
Will open the 2007-08 season on Nov. 7 against Sadrine Gruda and UNNC Ekaterinburg. Whalen is spending her first season with USK Prague.

Nykesha Sales
Is spending the off-season in Lithuania with TEO Vilnius and has made her presence felt immediately. She scored a game-high 23 points as TEO defeated the USA women's national team on Oct. 23. The team will open Euroleague play on Nov. 8 at USA Mondeville.
