Kyle (Clearwater): How long do you end up playing basketball? What are your intentions after you stop playing? Will you marry me?
Brooke Wyckoff: (Laughing) I don't know how long I want to play. Right now my body feels good and I'm enjoying the game. Afterwards, I'd like to be a high school teacher, a Mom and a wife. Things like that.
Nicole (Florida): What are your keys to defense and what size shoe do u wear? Good luck next season!
Brooke Wyckoff: The key to defense, No. 1 is working hard and having heart. There is alot of different philosophies, but as long as you have a good work ethic and work harder than your opponent, you will succeed. And I wear a size 12 women's shoe.
Orlando: brooke- It's your long lost AI friend. What's up? My question is: when are you and the other WG's going to come back to sunny Florida and come visit?
Brooke Wyckoff: (Laughing) I want to come back to Florida as soon as possible. I miss my friend AI very much, and as soon as I can, I will get back down to Florida.
Nick ( Tampa ): Hey Brooke I'm a junior in high school and want to play bball in college, what's the best way for me to get noticed? GO FSU!!
Brooke Wyckoff: The best way to get noticed is to contact colleges and coaches you are interested in. Send them a tape of yourself and a letter showing your interest in playing for their school. Then work hard and do well.
Mary (Hoboken): Hey Brooke! Can't wait to see you on the court again this year! What was it like playing ball in Spain this year?
Brooke Wyckoff: Playing ball in Spain is alot of fun. It's different from the US. There isn't as many games, and the games are spread out over longer periods. The game is challenging and I really like it. Spain is a very nice place.
joe, baltimore: has anyone ever said you look like so- and-so?
Brooke Wyckoff: (Laughing) Yeah, people say I look just like my sisters. I have three sisters and everyone says we look exactly alike.
dee dee, portland, maine: What do you think you bring most to the Sun?
Brooke Wyckoff: On any team I play for, I just try to bring a good work ethic and a good attitude along with a defensive presence and rebounding presence.
heather, chicago: Brooke - How did a Mid-west girl like you end up in the Sunshine state for college?
Brooke Wyckoff: The answer is that I'm from the Midwest so I wanted the sunshine. Seriously, I was attracte to the program at Florida State, the coaches, players and fans. But FSU was far from home, and that was a factor too! (laughing).
Alice ( Storrs): What parts of yoru game are you looking to improve on for this upcoming season? What do the SUn need to do in this offseason to get past Detroit, and win the WNBA Championship?
Brooke Wyckoff: I'm always trying to improve my offensive game, namely shooting. As far as gettiing past Detroit this season, we just need to continue to build on our success from last year. We need to strengthen our inside game and keep improving. Plus, Detroit is not the only good team we will be battling. There are plenty of good teams we need to get ready to compete against.
Brooke Wyckoff: It was great chatting with you. I'm excited about this upcoming season with the Connecticut Sun, and it's going to be a good one, so I look forward to seeing everybody out at the games.
