Sun forward Kristen Rasmussen is in her first season with Connecticut. We took a minute with her after practice recently to chat with her.
Are you all settled into your new house?
Yes, we love it! We spend a lot of time outside working I the yard.
Is playing in Connecticut what you expected?
It’s nice here, very relaxing and I’m enjoying my time here.
What does Jamie (Kristen’s husband) do while you are on the road?
He works around the house…i.e. the yard, the unfinished basement (we’re going to finish it) and building a new deck.
What are your off-season plans?
Off-season we plan to go over to Europe.
Who is the toughest match-up for you?
Actually, it’s in practice going against Asjha. She is a quick player and I enjoy going up against her.
What has been your impression of Connecticut fans?
Crazy, wild, excited and loud.
You’ve played for a number of teams, who is your favorite WNBA mascot?
Of course, BLAZE! I had a friend visit lately and she asked me what Blaze was. When I told her she said ‘Oh, good. I thought it was a Cheeto.’ :)
