UNCASVILLE, Conn. – The Connecticut Sun have reached a multi-year agreement with MyTV9/WCTX, and will televise a minimum of eight games during the 2008 season. “We are very excited about the opportunity to work with MyTV9,” Connecticut Sun general manager Chris Sienko said. “We are entering into a multi-year deal, which gives us the opportunity to expand to more games in future seasons. This is also an excellent way for the two companies to create a partnership that will benefit all of Connecticut, as MyTV9 is a statewide broadcast television station.”
“This partnership with Mohegan Sun and the Connecticut Sun WNBA franchise is a tremendous opportunity for both our organizations to bring Connecticut’s only professional sport to a new level,” said Jon Hitchcock, the Vice President and General Manager of WTNH and WCTX. “This caliber of sports is an excellent complement to our programming as we continue to brand MyTV9 as the place for local sports.”
WTNH-TV, an ABC affiliate, and WCTX MyTV9 are LIN Television stations.
