Lawson Speaks At Girls Inc. of SWCT







On Monday, February 19th, Sun guard Kara Lawson visited Girls Inc. of Southwestern Connecticut and spoke to a group of girls about the importance of goal setting, teamwork and her career path. Lawson, who answered a variety of questions from the group, also demonstrated a number of defensive drills and signed autographs.

Girls Incorporated of Southwestern Connecticut, established in Waterbury in 1864 as the original Girls Club, offers research-based curricula delivered by trained, mentoring professionals in a positive all-girl environment. Their programs equip girls to achieve academically, lead healthy and physically active lives, manage money, navigate media messages and discover an interest in science, technology, engineering, and math.
